Is a Pharmacist mandatory for Wholesale License?

Not necessarily. For Wholesale, you can appoint a "Competent Person" who is a Graduate with 1 year of experience in dealing with drugs, or an Undergraduate with 4 years of experience. For Retail, a Registered Pharmacist is mandatory.

Can I run a pharmacy from my home?

No. The premises must be a commercial space, separate from residence, with a separate entrance. It must meet the minimum area requirements (10 Sq. Meters).

What happens if my Pharmacist resigns?

You must immediately inform the Drug Department and appoint a new Pharmacist. Your license can be suspended if you operate without a Pharmacist.
