Who must register for PF?
Any establishment employing 20 or more persons is mandatorily required to register with EPFO. Smaller firms can register voluntarily.
What is the contribution rate?
Generally, the employee contributes 12% of Basic + DA, and the employer contributes an equal amount (12%). Of the employer's share, 8.33% goes to the Pension Scheme (EPS).
Is DSC mandatory?
Yes, a Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is mandatory for the employer to digitally sign and submit the registration form and monthly returns.
