Is Fire NOC mandatory for my building?

Yes, if your building is a high-rise (above 15 meters/5 stories), or is used for public assembly (Hospital, School, Mall, Theatre, Factory).

How long is a Fire NOC valid?

Provisional NOC (for construction) is valid for 1-2 years. Final NOC (for operation) is generally valid for 1-3 years and must be renewed regularly based on state rules.

What happens during the physical inspection?

The Fire Officer will check the functionality of your fire suppression systems (sprinklers, hydrants, alarms), the width of exit staircases, and the adequacy of fire extinguishers.
